We have an exciting opportunity at Regeneron for a Manager, R&D Finance. In this role you will be a key partner in supporting the R&D organization in financial and business planning analysis, reporting, and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing budgets (and updating forecasts) for research and RGC cost centers including FTE and operating expense along with Capital Equipment and Equipment Maintenance expenses across R&D. A key aspect of the role includes supporting collaborations related to R&D as well as scenario planning for Regeneron's clinical candidates. Your ability to quickly develop trusted relationships with people at all levels across R&D, your direct report, as well as within the broader Finance team will be crucial to your success.
In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Meet with R&D department heads and build strong relationships with partners
  • Analyze R&D department budgets and develop quarterly reforecast numbers to maintain both the operational and financial forecast, work with direct report to load budget/forecast numbers into Hyperion and review for accuracy
  • Perform monthly review of actuals and provide analysis of actuals vs. budget or forecast
  • Prepare presentations and/or provide accurate financial reporting to senior leaders prepare quarterly cash forecast of capital expenditures for Capital Steering Committee review with CFO
  • Manage direct report and provide mentorship and development- hold frequent development discussions and provide meaningful and stretch assignments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, accounting, and alliance management
  • Help design and implement solutions to streamline processes and create operational efficiencies
  • Prepare and present financial analysis in support of ad hoc requests and projects
  • Work with project managers to develop forecasts by activity for antibody programs and monitors actuals vs. forecast on an ongoing basis
  • Manage research collaboration budgets/milestones and lead joint calls and discussions
  • Performing ad-hoc analyses that lead to problem solving and sound business recommendations

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a bachelor's degree in a Finance, accounting, or related quantitative an (MBA is preferred). Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and/or business partnering is requires. Experience with planning tools such as Hyperion Planning is an advantage. 6+ years of FP&A experience is required with background in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
