Under minimal supervision provides Supply Chain work group supervision and technical expertise in support of successfully completing daily operations within scope of responsibility. Ensures all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures


Support production readiness at Supplier
  • Ensure successful execution of supplier manufacturing and supporting activities in accordance to the Quality Agreement
  • Monitor and review supplier production readiness, identify improvement opportunities, removing roadblocks
  • Confirm site's material management readiness in alignment with the production plan
  • Contribute to the implementation of meaningful metrics to track adherence to plan and overall health of the program
  • Manage root cause investigations and corrective actions in a timely manner

Production process and risk surveillance at Supplier
  • Build understanding of supplier processes, raw materials, equipment
  • Proactively engage with supplier to obtain working knowledge of floor challenges / support needed
  • Assess risk by the active collection of feedback from supplier and Amgen
  • Align supplier readiness timelines to forecast roadblocks and supply issues
  • Communicate issues/updates/decisions on ongoing production - Engage Amgen core team members as appropriate
  • Prior to supplier run - evaluate site production readiness for the run's success
  • Post supplier run/stage/operation - evaluate performance and identify weak signals if any for improvement, provide production summary and ensure execution of close-to-real time process monitoring

Enhance Amgen/Supplier communication
  • Ensure immediate assistance at supplier in case of any unexpected event
  • Solidify supplier partnership and sustainable success for Amgen materials
  • Support triage of supplier investigations and/or deviations to ensure communication and acceptable mitigation strategies
  • Provide weekly summary report (past highlights/lowlights, forward-looking), high-medium critical category updates
  • During the supplier run - be engaged in production progress and identifying early warning signs and suggest corrective actions real-time. Provide real-time production updates to other colleagues.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the environment for the staff member is of an office atmosphere. Computer terminals, telephones, and calculators are in use constantly.
