Position Summary:

The Director, Regional Business Management is responsible for leading and managing a team of field-based Regional Business Managers, ensuring the group meets site of care business objectives. The objectives of the Regional Business team are to assess, plan and execute Horizon programs to support treatment delivery for our infused therapy offerings. The Lead will provide input on the strategic direction of the business. The -Director, Regional Business Management will coordinate with sales leadership and other key stakeholders to facilitate appropriate collaboration between the teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a regional team of Regional Business Managers supporting site of care accounts
  • Accountable for the performance, training, and compliance of the team
  • Develop key performance metrics appropriate to the team's efforts and company business objectives
  • Track each team member's performance against key metrics
  • Develop each team member individually as needed in order to fulfill the role in each region
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to pull through national partnership contracts at the local level
  • Ensure the team has appropriate ongoing training and expertise
  • Working with sales leadership to develop and execute integrated business plans to maximize Site of Care options
  • Prospecting to identify new sites of care and performing GAP analysis
  • Develop presentations on the group objectives and performance as needed, at least quarterly


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Business or Science discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years pharma/medical industry experience and/or 4+ years people management experience required.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience with market access/site of care customer segments and reimbursement (commercial and government payers, billing/coding) with infused products required.
  • Direct experience with identifying and activating sites of care in various infusion service areas such as:
    • National and/or regional infusion service providers (ie; SPP's, Infusion Management Companies)
    • Hospital outpatient and infusion centers
    • Home infusion service providers
    • Individual buy and bill physician office practices
  • Experience in infused therapies required; rare disease experience preferred.
  • Ophthalmology and/or endocrinology reimbursement experience preferred
  • Recent launch experience with infused products preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments along with demonstrated integrity on the job.
  • Fosters innovation in account approaches and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a keen ability to recognize issues in the context of higher-level policies and regulations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and inspire a specialty sales team towards meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills in above mentioned areas.
  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Requires approximately 75% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
  • Excellent presentation and power point skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.


Qualifications Required for Internal Candidates (in addition to above):
  • Minimum of 6 months in current role (at time of application)
  • In good standing with performance expectations, HR and compliance
