The selected candidate will be responsible for the development of container closure systems for sterile drug products. Under supervision, contributes to the development of packaging component specifications, conduct test method qualification and validation to support various sterile product development programs and timelines. Contributes towards the assessment and development of innovative technologies with focus on primary package development for sterile dosage forms. Source, test and qualify container closure components and systems across a variety of types of materials and formats including vials, syringes and cartridges. Description: Recommends improvements to packaging component design based on requirements. Participates in development of new technology to resolve packaging/process related issues. Provides technical assistance for quality and regulatory activities including preparation of source documents for regulatory filings. Position may require upto 15% travel. Contributes towards the development of combination devices in accordance with design

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Packaging Science/Engineering with up to 3 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical/ medical device and combination product development. Master's degree preferred. The candidate must have a strong background in sterile product primary packaging. The candidate should be familiar with global regulations regarding packaging. Has experience in developing primary packaging systems. Has experience in writing and executing protocols for testing packaging systems. Experience should include familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab and design softwares such as Pro-Engineer and or SolidWorks. Good oral and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to handle multiple tasks, be willing to challenge existing practices.
