The Associate Director, Program Finance role offers the unique opportunity to partner directly with our R&D divisions every day shaping the financial perspective required to manage and fuel our drug development pipeline. We need a leader with proven industry experience in R&D and clinical trials finance. This role will manage an accomplished team of financial professionals who's charter is to achieve accurate financial results across a portfolio of programs in various stages of clinical development. You will have the opportunity to work closely with members of the Global Clinical Development organization, lead financial portfolio reviews, and provide data driven advice on cost containment opportunities. This role is a highly valued member of the Finance Leadership Team.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

  • Implementing leading practices and standardization to drive efficient management across therapeutic areas and throughout the finance team
  • Lead financial portfolio reviews, and make recommendations based on meticulous financial analyses
  • Leading all aspects of several high-profile programs and being held accountable to financial results for the programs
  • Collaborating with counterparts across the organization and externally to improve the process of assessing the financial viability of clinical candidates
  • Reviewing the Financial Reporting and Analysis for assigned therapeutic areas including monthly actuals reporting and quarterly forecast analysis
  • Be the lead financial Liaison with government contract personnel while ensuring financial compliance and timely submissions
  • Run ad-hoc analyses to make sound business decisions

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a bachelor's degree in a scientific or quantitative field combined with top tier MBA. 8-10+ years' experience with forecasting, budgeting, and/or business partnering ideally in a science or research driven environment. Preferably 8 or more years of relevant background, will greatly aid your successful transition onto the team and quicken your pace to productivity. Previous knowledge of the biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or a related industry is also strongly preferred. You will be adept at using a broad range of financial technologies including an expertise in Microsoft Excel and experience in Hyperion is an advantage for this role. We want someone who has significant knowledge about Program Finance.
