The Senior Supply Planner will be responsible for the planning of raw materials, in relation to the overall S&OP and production plan, by assessing the availability of raw material to ensure the uninterrupted flow of production. This individual will be highly versed in material planning, as well as having a solid understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and the standards and principles for all stages of clinical development.

Your Tasks:

Supply Planning
  • Understand to develop a supply plan that meets demand under consideration of resource constrains
  • Execution of periodic material simulations based on current S&OP plan to ensure long-term material constraints
  • Capable of interpreting forecast and how it impacts the production plan
  • Capable of calculating gross requirements from forecast and customer orders
  • Understand capacity and the impact resource planning process

Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • Develops and maintains a material replenishment plan by daily inspection and release of purchase requisitions, for raw material purchases
  • Executing weekly material verifications based on current production plan and monitoring exceptions
  • Conducts weekly meetings with stakeholders to communicate any material concerns and driving the site material needs with the procurement and quality teams
  • Scheduling and planning of inter-company transfers for internally acquired raw materials and intermediates
  • Ensures Master Data accuracy through the creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials and recipes in system

Inventory Management

  • Identify obsolete /obsolescent inventory items and implement process/program to reduce and or mitigate obsolete / obsolescent raw material inventories
  • Execute monthly batch life cycle process for maintenance of raw material re-testing, and discarding recommendations
  • Capable of defining/recommending inventory parameters in alignment with company strategy

Supply Risk Management

  • Capable of identifying risk in the material supply chain, and build consensus to control or avoid risk
  • Perform periodic material and parameter review to ensure stock-outs can be prevented

Data Analysis

  • Capable of analyzing data and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Must be able to build data models using multiple sources

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Biology, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management or similar field with minimum of 2 years' experience in planning for pharmaceutical or chemical industries
  • Equivalent degree in another field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in planning within relevant markets such as biotech or pharma
  • Experience with material and production planning
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
  • Ability to interpret SOP's and protocols
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including analyzing root causes and proposing alternatives to mitigate service interruption.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a global environment
  • Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint


  • APICS CPIM Certification
  • SAP Experience
  • Expert knowledge in Excel
