The Associate Manager, Strategy & Business Operations will be responsible for supporting a breadth of strategic projects and operational analyses to support the Partnering and Business Operations (PBO) group within the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC). The RGC is constantly evolving and this role will assist in improving our understanding of the competitive landscape in genetics and informatics, as well as streamline our processes to support our growing scale. This individual will utilize their critical thinking and analytical skills to build out our competitive intelligence function, perform financial and resourcing analyses in pursuit of operational excellence, and work with senior RGC leaders on a variety of ad-hoc strategic projects. We are looking for a self-starter with an analytical approach who can handle ambiguity and thrives in a dynamic environment.

A typical day might include the following:
  • Working with senior leaders within the PBO team to identify competitive intelligence needs, conduct primary and secondary market research and present insights to key partners
  • Consciously staying on top of trends in the genomics, informatics, and healthcare industry to keep leaders informed of key market developments
  • Collaborating with peers and partners to conduct analyses to support long-term planning, allocation, and portfolio growth
  • Analyzing and implementing new processes within the RGC, including crafting standardized operational procedures, process maps, and other collateral to support continued growth
  • Supporting ad-hoc strategic projects as needed, working directly with the Leadership within the RGC

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of proven experience in strategic consulting, financial analysis, market research or competitive intelligence. Experience in conducting sophisticated analyses. Collaborating with a variety of partners and creating clear & succinct presentations. We need someone who has a scientific understanding of drug discovery, genetics and / or the consumer genetics space. Previous work within an environment that required flexibility and continuous multi-tasking with an ability to operate with a results-oriented approach.
