We are currently looking to fill a Sourcing Specialist. Regeneron successfully manufactures a range of biopharmaceuticals for patients worldwide, including our approved therapeutic proteins and those involved in clinical studies. The Sourcing Specialist supports the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives utilizing the sourcing of process for DPM-CMO categories. The specialist develops sourcing specifications, requirements and related scope of work that is consistent with Regeneron's business requirements. Our Sourcing Specialist conducts data gathering, supports spend analytics, assists in delivering measurable cost savings, and motivator savings against contracts. They support evaluations through the development of RFGs, RFIs and RFPs and may participate in negotiations. The specialist actively participates in supplier selection and provides data and recommendations to endure information selection decisions.

As a Sourcing Specialist a typical day might include the following:
• Leading implementations of business and process improvements within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) department.
• Working on sourcing-related problems and considering relative value of several alternative solutions to potential issues before confirm a final decision as to the path forward. Demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for determining solutions.
• Providing detailed analysis and information which may have financial impact on sourcing decisions
• Leading segments in functional areas, such as data gathering, detailed analysis and report generations
• Operating as a focal point to coordinate and prepare QBRs
• Using discretion in applying practices and procedures to resolve issues, demonstrating a broad and detailed understanding and application of technical and/or specialized concepts in sourcing.
• Using expertise within a sourcing subject area to complete tasks optimally, efficiently and contributing to department initiatives, improving process, policy, technology
• Networking efficiently with internal and external personnel across the company and in own area of expertise.
• Conducts the processes to ensure timely distribution of information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Soliciting and analyzing RFPs, participating in contract negotiations and ensuring contract are realized (SLAs, Savings, etc.) ensuring compliance with pricing agreements and internal policies and procedures
• Explaining complication information and effectively laying out pros/cons of alternative to consider
• Supporting sourcing projects within a cross-function collaborative team environment
• Handling projects without supervision while demonstrating integrity, flexibility, and attention to detail
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members and colleagues in the department

• Proven understanding of sourcing and procurement, planning supplier interface and negotiations, systems applications such as Zycus/Ariba, GEP(Contracts Management), Spend Analytics, MS PowerPoint, Word Excel
• Team Leadership
• Good negotiation skills
• Cost modeling knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to formulate high-level presentations
• Ability to build consensus, partnership, and creativity within a collaborative team under minimal supervisor

To be considered for the Sourcing Specialist you must have a Bachelors plus 6 or more years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, to include 3 or more years experience directly in sourcing depending on role or a Masters plus 4 or more years of relevant, progressive experience within procurement, to include 2 or more years experience directly in sourcing depending on role. Program management experience and project management experience a definite plus. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
