Job Details

This R&D Associate, Skeletal position will become part of a team interested in understanding how receptor-ligand interactions in the TGF Beta superfamily determine cell fate and ultimately disease. This position will perform discovery bioassay and reagent development for targets.

As the R&S Specialist in Skeletal Diseases, a typical day might include:
  • Generating, collecting and often communicating the scientific approach and experimental results from their experiments.
  • Utilizing molecular biology techniques, such as those required for the expression of recombinant proteins and the generation of bioassays.
  • Bioassay development: Cell culture, cell line production and data generation/analysis.
  • Maintaining appropriate records of all experiments
This role might be for you if:

  • You can work autonomously but also enjoy working collaboratively to explore research questions and carry out experiments to answer them
  • You are a strong communicator

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have least a Bachelors degree with 1-2 years of research lab experience. Must have experience and be trained in cell culture and molecular biology. Flow cytometry, cloning, cell culture is a plus. Candidates should be versed in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Cell Biology techniques. Although the focus of the work will be primarily in vitro, familiarity with animal models (animal handling, phenotyping) are desirable, but not required.
