Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for various scheduling activities of production using SAP as the planning platform. This includes developing and maintaining forecasts for material requirements for manufacturing, maintaining inventory control for all facets of manufacturing and finished materials, and managing production and inventory plans to meet business objectives. The incumbent will create and author Supply Chain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP's) and work cross-functionally with departments to maintain an integrated schedule for the site with input from Manufacturing, Validation, Facilities, Engineering, and Quality. This position is located at our second Canton Site.

Essential Functions
  • Set up of Production planning and material flow processes for large scale manufacturing operations. This includes development of planning system, independent requirements, routing and bill of materials and all other required master data within SAP
  • Establish production and inventory plans that balances production resources, supports customer requirements and meets company inventory objectives
  • Ensure SAP tool is utilized effectively to perform detailed scheduling by maintaining the appropriate planning and eliminating manual processes
  • Communicate risks and/or changes that will impact the supply of materials
  • Work cross-functionally with department management and staff to maintain a site-integrated schedule
  • Attend daily cross-functional tiered meeting for schedule input and tracking performance to plan
  • Process Order creation, maintenance, TECO and close with SAP Process Planning module
  • Coordinate month end/quarter end activities with Finance
  • Long range forecasting for product manufacturing activities
  • Coordinate with internal Logistics and CMO Management for adherence to MPS
  • Monitor purchase orders and receipt of raw materials to date of release. Work cross-functionally with the Procurement and Quality to expedite as needed.
  • Process NCMR's for expired materials
  • Create, revise, and route associated Departmental SOP's as needed
  • Generate and distribute/post updated schedule as required
  • Develop effective department metrics, KPI's and monitoring of site performance to integrated schedule
  • Facilitate SAP corrections as needed
  • Ensure maximum compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Sarbanes Oxley, and Government Contractor Compliance
  • Initiate, route, and complete Quality Notifications including Deviations, CAPA's, and Change Control as required

Education, Experience & Skills

Minimum Requirement's
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or other related field
  • Prior Biopharmaceutical Planning and Scheduling experience preferred
  • Experience working in a cGMP Manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of related experience required
  • ERP system experience required, SAP experience preferred
  • Previous Microsoft Project experience required

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills with emphasis on relationship development with peers
