OPPORTUNITY

This role will be responsible for building and leading the supply chain effort at Mammoth Biosciences. The candidate will be responsible for scaling current purchasing and planning processes for the lab and engineering functions. This role will be responsible for negotiating and managing supply contracts with external vendors and partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Direct activities of all functions involved in purchasing, planning, warehousing, and inventory.
    • Implement a fully functional supply chain management infrastructure in order to effectively manage logistics and resources
    • Source, develop and maintain vendor relationships in collaboration with the technical teams
    • Work with the internal team to generate forecasting models for laboratory and engineering inventories
    • Maintain accountability, establishing processes and controls for accurate inventory counts at all times
    • With increasing scale, evaluate the suitability of the current purchasing system (Quartzy) and recommend and implement and appropriate system.
    • Maintain relationships with key vendors and negotiate supply agreements


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain or planning management
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
    • Experience with purchasing systems appropriate for small-to-medium businesses
    • Experience in working in a startup environment with the ability to liaise/communicate effectively


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain business processes (Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Lifecycle Management)
    • Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis

    • Knowledge of purchasing under-regulated environments.
    • Knowledge of quality systems and how supply chain management interacts with them
