This Associate Director Agile Transformation is responsible for developing, planning, leading, scoping, analysis and execution of the overall Agile strategy with Enterprise Application Systems (EAS). The role will ensure that EAS is consistently and continuously applying the use of Agile frameworks and methods to build inertia for the expansion of Agile within EAS. The role will partner EAS leaders to drive strategic Agile Transformation in support of transformational goals and business metrics. The position also manages the accountability of Agile vendor engagements, program execution and Agile coach alignment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, plan, lead, scope, analyze and lead execution of the overall Agile strategy.
  • Promote the success of Agile expansion in EAS through engaging leaders and stakeholders providing progress reports to leaders on Agile expansion, blockers, and successes.
  • Liaise with EAS leaders to support their Agile expansion and allocate resources, as needed.
  • Support Agile coach onboarding and training including ownership of guidelines for transitioning Agile coaches on and off Agile teams.
  • Support Agile coaches on Agile teams by providing strategic guidance, issue escalation and resolution, and thought leadership.
  • Provide support to Agile delivery teams, ensuring that initiatives are on track, appropriately resourced and risks and issues are appropriately managed.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics that support deployment of Agile methodology, scaling and enablement. Develop and implement mitigations for any under-performing metrics.
  • Develop and implement policies and programs as necessary to support Agile expansion.
  • Effectively partner with other EAS BTS Service Providers and other BTS organizations and process owners to establish Agile standards to ensure alignment and the expansion of Agile.


ROLES
  • Advocate for the Agile expansion across EAS BTS and their Service Providers supporting adoption and training where needed.
  • Support adoption and continuous improvement for Agile methodologies and processes.
  • Support the culture of continuous improvement by identifying activities, projects and initiatives and obtaining customer or senior leadership support as needed for process improvement activities.
  • Actively partner and communicate regularly with EAS BTS leadership on important issues and opportunities that impact the delivery of processes.
  • Build relationships with EAS BTS leads and other BTS organizations and serve as a trusted adviser for Agile methodologies and expansion/adoption.
  • Innovate on our current development methodologies and ways of thinking and develop new approaches to change how EAS BTS teams deliver services and solutions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline preferred with 12+ years of experience
  • 7 years of Project Management experience with at least 5 years of Agile Project Management experience.
  • 7 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels including managed service providers.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/ life science business including the applicable business and technology processes.
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task and strong problem resolution skills.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion and facilitate consensus across key BTS personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to enact change across an organization in the absence of a direct reporting relationship.
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to senior leaders as well as end users.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment where needs and priorities can change with tight deadline.
  • SAFe® 5.0 Agilist (SA) Certification from Scaled Agile.
  • SAFe® 5.0 Certified Practitioner (SP) Certification from Scaled Agile.
  • SAFe® 5.0 Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) Certification from Scaled Agile.
