Purpose:

AbbVie is developing a world class team to drive innovation in clinical trial design and execution. As the Director, of Predictive Analytics and Statistical Analysis for the Drug Development Design Center you will play a leadership role across the Therapeutic Areas for the Development organization to expand the utilization of real world data, predictive analytics and novel and innovative statistical approaches to enhance trial design, execution and enrollment.

Responsible for the long term strategy to facilitate the interaction between Asset Development Teams, the Center for Novel and Innovative Statistical analysis and the Development Design Center.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides strategic consultation to R&D by providing real time feedback on the impact of study design choices on costs, timeline, patient selection and recruitment for the Abbvie portfolio. Facilitate the expansion of novel statistical approaches including adaptive design to impact program and trial design throughout the Abbvie portfolio. Coordinate and prioritize innovative design sessions across the Abbvie Development portfolio Provides leadership and coordinate the review and leverage of global data resources to impact study design. Responsible for leadership of cross-functional teams. Anticipates and leads issue resolution. Evaluate the impact of development scenarios on overall timelines and study cost. Negotiates with other functional areas on project outcomes and deliverables to meet conflicting demands (time, cost, quality/ performance)


Qualifications
Basic:

 

 

  • MS. and/or Ph.D. in predictive analytics, statistics, biometrics or related field Team, drug development, and scientific project leadership or related experience across all phases of drug development Experience with large data sets and analytical skills to interrogate the data Recognized as a leader in the application of novel statistical analysis to trial design Advanced project leadership experience of 10 + years related to clinical research, drug development and department operations. Proven record of successful projects Recognized as an expert with global knowledge of AbbVie and Pharma drug development processes Demonstrated leadership skills with broad scientific, strategic and business-related orientations Requires multi-faceted, broad-based experience in multiple functions. Considered to have in depth knowledge of drug development issues and business needs Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact externally and internally to support business strategy Strong analytical skills. Recognized ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives to ensure that balanced risk assessments are made
