The GDS Managed Services Lead is a key member of the Global Development Systems organization, who is responsible for handling core technology platforms through Managed Services Vendors. We are looking for a leader with experience in Clinical Trial Development functions, processes and technologies. You will interact with Application Support Vendors and Corporate IT on the day-to-day support of standard technology platforms, while also focusing on improving operational support including direct oversight of Managed Service Providers & platform vendors.

As the Managed Services Lead a typical day might include the following:
  • Ensuring that Managed Services Vendors are bringing in efficient, effective and reliable services.
  • Improving current Managed Services processes through process re-design, documentation and change implementation
  • Becoming the hub for collaboration with IT Service Management, Procurement, Vendors and other business IT organization.
  • Leading and executing process improvement and critical initiatives in support of IT Business Management areas.
  • Working with all GDS Business Relationship Managers, System Owners and Technical Support Managers to identify new needs
  • Introducing new solutions and innovations that build advantages for Regeneron. Planning and prioritizing improvements to production Managed Services across GDS.
  • Establishing relationships across IT, GDS, Procurement, Finance and approved Vendors at REGN.
  • Ensuring day-to-day GDS Run operational support meets business expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Partnering with vendors in keeping abreast of technology trends and applicability to business needs.
  • Designing and developing integration strategy and continuous delivery systems and methodologies
  • Driving automation of operations and integration management of GDS
  • Acting as main point of contact with all vendors used by Global Development Systems.

  • Experience partnering with clinical development personnel in understanding business challenges and proposing solutions
  • Expertise with Integration tools, strategy, ITIL Service Management, GxP Validation & Change Control.
  • Deep understanding of Pharmaceutical Development business domain and technology and ability to effectively analyze business challenges and present needed solutions.
  • Leading the planning, build, configuration and maintenance of functional applications and services using Managed Services offerings.
  • Provided leadership and guidance for Business Relationship Managers, System Owners, Technical System Mangers, Business Process Owners, Sourcing and Vendor Relationship Management.
  • A proven track record of optimizing resource management (e.g., utilization management, staffing and capability planning) to drive optimal returns on internal talent.
  • Demonstrated success engaging with senior leadership and influencing decisions.
  • Proven expertise delivering continuous user value using Agile delivery frameworks.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

A BS/BA Degree with ten plus years relevant experience or an MS degree and eight plus years relevant experience. ITIL Certification (at minimum Foundation). Specialist in ITIL Service Management Framework. Experience in project management techniques, risk mitigation approaches, and budgeting. Minimum ten years' managing IT contractors and staff. Managed complex high-impact IT projects from start to finish. Supported and Administrated Pharmaceutical Development Systems. Business Analysis, Data Modeling, Information Architecture desired. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
