VelocImmune (VI) Next is a technology development group at Regeneron that invents and develops state-of-the-art tools for biologic drug discovery. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated research associate to join the team to work on to support ex vivo cell/gene therapy efforts across Regeneron.

As the R&D Specialist, VI Next, a typical day might include the following:

-Performing research requiring molecular biology techniques including gRNA and CRISPR preparation,
-RNA, and DNA isolation and purification from tissue samples, qPCR, etc.
-Culturing, maintaining, and transfecting mammalian cell lines and primary cells
-Screening of gRNAs for ex-vivo CRISPR mediated gene editing
-Developing assays in primary cell culture, as well as CRISPR/gRNA introduction
-Conducting standard biochemical and immunological assays such as ELISA, Western and Flow cytometry
-Independently designing experiments, analyzing data and presenting findings in meetings

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS/MS with 2-4 years of relevant laboratory research experience. Basic molecular biology/biochemistry techniques such as PCR, transfection, cloning, western, flow cytometry. Cell culture experience with different cell types including primary cell culture is required. Experience with gene editing technologies, CRISPR screening, ex-vivo editing is highly desirable.
