Job Summary:

Manager, Commercial Training and Development serves as the training subject matter expert for assigned product(s) of primary focus. Training Manager will collaborate with key cross functional partners in the development of comprehensive learning solutions fostering a learning environment focusing on adult learning principles and ensuring ongoing development and retention in support of product objectives and strategies. Serves as lead in conducting training classes and workshop for Initial Sales Training, Sales Meetings and ad hoc training needs throughout the year. They will assist in evaluating, selecting and managing vendors and/or projects enhancing disease state and/or product knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Manager, Commercial Training and Development serves as the training subject matter expert for assigned product(s) of primary focus. Training Manager will collaborate with key cross functional partners in the development of comprehensive learning solutions fostering a learning environment focusing on adult learning principles and ensuring ongoing development and retention in support of product objectives and strategies. Serves as lead in conducting training classes and workshop for Initial Sales Training, Sales Meetings and ad hoc training needs throughout the year. They will assist in evaluating, selecting and managing vendors and/or projects enhancing disease state and/or product knowledge.

Product Training Development: Partner with stakeholders to develop and maintain product & brand related sales training tools, workshops, and classroom presentations ensuring content is current and meets the needs of all stakeholders. Maintains and enhances product and disease state knowledge to stay current on national sales trends and innovations to ensure the proper creation of training materials. Develop continuous learning tools (i.e. Training Wires), e-learning, and assessment programs to support all sales training. Responsible for managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of such programs. Ensure projects and materials are evaluated against and meet good training and adult learning principles. Safeguard all projects and materials have been through the correct regulatory review process before being delivered to appropriate audience.

New Hire Training: Responsible for developing, leading, educating and evaluating a diverse group of new sales representatives through Initial Sales training. Responsible for assessing and training product knowledge and clinical selling; Teaching and coaching managed care overview, as well as strategy and pull through techniques, continuously coaching on any areas needing improvement; creating training final evaluations and continued development plans; Delivering final evaluations and development plans to Sales Leadership; supporting continued development through field ride.

Stakeholder Management: Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholder to develop and execute on required training initiatives. Ensure that all training initiatives effectively meet customer needs while driving business results.

Overnight travel including field contacts, advisory board and task force meetings, National Sales Meetings and additional training initiatives.
Lifting & transporting training materials up to 70 lbs

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:

BA or BS degree required, emphasis in health sciences is preferred; Pharm D, MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

Minimum 4 years overall pharmaceutical industry experience required; Combination of 2 years pharmaceutical sales and/or other commercial experience (e.g., sales training, curriculum development, or product management) or equivalent required; 2 years oncology experience ideally in solid tumor preferred

Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills, understanding of adult learning principles, initiative, self-starter, and project management skills, with an emphasis on collaborating and networking/influence skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and WebEx
