Progenity is seeking a Vice President of Program Management responsible for maturing and leading the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) for our growing Molecular and Precision Medicine product portfolio. In this role, the selected leader will drive the planning and execution of our product development portfolio as well as establishing standard methodologies, process, procedure, and governance across the enterprise. This leadership role requires an individual with relevant industry experience in Program Management (preferably in diagnostics/LDT development), management experience to build and lead the team and a collaborative style to build strong cross-functional partnerships driving accountability across the organization. The Program Manager will directly lead large cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Commercial, R&D, IT, Operations, & Technology partners. You will engage with all teams and functional leads to define, prioritize, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivates a best-in-class PMO governance process across the Product portfolio.
  • Plans our product development portfolio on time and on budget.
  • Leads large cross-functional initiatives in partnership with Commercial, R&D, IT, Operations, medical & Technology partners.
  • Champions best practices in Program Management including the use of new tools and resources, standardized across the company, to achieve project deliverables and milestones.
  • Continues to build Progenity’s PMO organization by incorporating best practices and developing/hiring top Program and Portfolio Management.
  • Develops and tracks Project resourcing for the entire product portfolio.
  • Drives accountability for project team performance.
  • Drives cross functional alignment and communication to ensure support for approved portfolio.
  • Develops executive level dashboards with appropriate data to drive timely decision making and executive analysis Implements appropriate policies and procedures relative to demand, portfolio, and resource management.
  • Engages with all teams and functional leads to define, prioritize, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the portfolio.
  • Ensures adherence with the Quality Management System including creation of documents and new processes.
  • Facilitates best practices and lessons learned post product launch in order to drive portfolio continuous improvement opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 15+ years of successful experience with Portfolio, Program, and Project Management or related functions in a diagnostic, medical device, or life sciences technology driven company, preferably with products spanning research through commercialization.
  • Experience successfully managing large, complex projects under design control and in compliance with CLIA, FDA, ISO and/or other relevant regulations.
  • Certified PMP preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading large PMO governance processes including process creation, portfolio planning management, resource management, and execution.
  • Extensive experience managing and building teams, including strong leadership of both matrixed teams and direct reports.
  • Ability to be both strategic and detail-focused with strong critical/strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
