The Director, Global HEOR and RWE, is responsible for developing and implementing global strategic research and for managing the planning, implementation and publishing of HEOR and RWE efforts focusing on patient reported outcomes, observational or retrospective epidemiologic studies, and economic evaluations in disease areas of interest to MyoKardia and throughout the life cycle of its products.

The Sr. Director will collaborate cross functionally within the company with functions in our Development and Commercial organizations and externally with Thought leaders. The Director will report into the Executive Director of RWE and HEOR and will be responsible for collaborating with and providing insights and evidence to other MyoKardia functions including Patient Advocacy, Clinical Development, Digital Health, Biometrics, Marketing, and Market Access) to support the development and commercialization of MyoKardia's novel compounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Global HEOR research plans and coordinate fulfillment of strategic research plan across commercial and R&D functions.
  • Utilize innovative approaches to collect and analyze real world data to generate evidence.
  • Leverage existing registries and EMR databases to support regulatory requirements, address payer evidence generation and help reimbursement activities.
  • Research and perform critical analyses of clinical and scientific evidence including systematic reviews, RWE, and economic evaluations to support HTA assessments, disease management guidelines, and formulary evaluations.
  • Oversee and conduct pre-, peri-, and post-launch RWE/HEOR research, either through external vendors and consultants or internal staff.
  • Attend medical/scientific, RWD/RWE and HEOR professional meetings to keep up with changing trends and remain current within the field relating to new research and medical trends affecting each product area.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible for operation, resourcing and management of many HEOR activities.



  • PhD, PharmD, MD or DO required
  • 10 years of HEOR or RWE experience
  • Management experience is preferred
  • Experience working in a global organization highly desirable

  • Possess excellent clinical and reimbursement knowledge
  • Strong relationship building skills, with ability to interact effectively in a multi-functional, multicultural, growing organization
  • Ability to operate objectively and independently as a leader and as a member of a team, as required.
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fast paced environment; demonstrated flexibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a variety of levels and teams.
