We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to investigate the role Extracellular Matrix in connective tissue disorders using small animal models. The Associate Scientist will work within the Skeletal Diseases Therapeutic Focus Area. The candidates should have strong in vivo skills that include phenotyping of animal models. In addition, knowledge and experience in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry technique are highly desirable.

As the Associate Scientist, Skeletal Diseases, a typical day might include the following:
  • Designing, coordinating and conducting experiments independently
  • Troubleshooting and customizing experimental protocols
  • Collecting and analyzing data and presenting results at internal meetings and at scientific conferences
  • Performing periodical literature search
  • Organizing data for manuscript preparation

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a PhD required along with 2 years of related experience. Strong experience and ability to work with mouse models is a must. Experience with at least one of the following molecular biology techniques is crucial: ELISA, Western Blotting, FACS/flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry. Basic knowledge of cell biology techniques. Proficient with common Office software (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) GraphPad Prism, Photoshop and Endonote. Additional knowledge in FlowJo and Illustrator is desirable but not required.
