Director, Aesthetics Clinical Educator

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
  • A Key Program Manager. You are accountable for the execution and management of in-clinic customer training programs and supervises a team of 5. Each training program is focused on educating healthcare providers on the safe and effective use of Allergan's Facial Aesthetics product portfolio and current aesthetic protocols. Educational formats include, but not limited to: lectures, roundtables, WebEx's, hands-on one-on-one, small group and mid-size group trainings.
  • A Collaborative Team Player. You will foster strong relationships with in-territory customer accounts, National Account Directors, Sales Representatives, Medical Education Marketing, Brand Marketing and external agency partners.
  • A Strategic Thinker. You will have experience working in a multi-faceted high-paced matrix environment, hands-on aesthetic injection experience, clinical content development, strong communication and presentation skills, budget management, strong ability to multi-task and has experience managing direct reports.
  • A Goal-Oriented Innovator. You will work closely with the Associate Vice President, Medical Education and Portfolio Marketing, to ensure key messaging and strategy are in line with corporate goals and objectives.

  • Manage and lead a team of 5 Associate Director, Aesthetic Clinical Educator team members
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on department strategies, geographical territory strategies, educational curriculum and deployment.
  • Conduct in-person and/or virtual customer facing clinical training programs and educates on clinical studies, product science, facial anatomy, anatomical areas of caution for neurotoxins and dermal fillers, patient assessment protocols, injection depth, on-label injection techniques and patient care practices
  • Create and develop on-going training program offerings, program structure, content, didactic presentations and supporting material.
  • Manage the submission of customer facing material and content through the medical, legal, regulatory, compliance (MLRC) system.
  • Overall management of department schedule, program submission and execution, program reporting and department protocols.
  • Develop effective working relationships with direct reports, sales teams, sales leadership, medical science liaisons and internal marketing teams
  • Proactive in developing new training initiatives
  • Create and manage department digital education resources
  • Create annual education plan and ensures aliment with division objectives and goals.
  • Partner with the Associate Vice President of Medical Education and Portfolio Programs to formulate on-boarding curriculum and structure
  • Execute onboarding plan with new department team members and conducts in-the field training
  • Present at key internal meetings and area sales director meetings
  • Collaborate and provide weekly feedback to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Analyze program evaluations and program effectiveness
  • Facilitate program/content changes or enhancements when necessary
  • Ensure department operates in a compliant manner and adheres to company policy
  • Responsible for budget development and management
  • Responsible for vendor management
  • Stays informed on product updates and industry trends
  • Continue to evolve skillset in facial aesthetic through attendance of industry conferences and meetings
  • Work closely with the Associate Vice President, Medical Education and Portfolio Programs.


  • Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant Medical Degree Required
  • Active license
  • No medical board violations or disciplinary action
  • Currently injecting neurotoxins and dermal fillers in patients
  • 5+ years' experience injecting neurotoxins and dermal fillers in patients
  • 2 years' experience in managing direct reports
  • Deep knowledge of facial anatomy and ability to identify key landmarks and areas of caution
  • Outstanding verbal, presentation and written communication skills with the ability to present complex medical data in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Solid matrix management and leadership skills
  • Self-starter, able to collaborate with others to accomplish objectives
  • Successful management of direct reports
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of executive management
  • Ability to effectively engage with customers and educate on on-label injection protocols
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency, with minimal supervision
  • Create strategic education plans and didactic content
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to travel domestically and work in the field 60-80% of the time and adhere to schedule

  • Work in the Irvine, CA corporate office when not traveling
