Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics conducts complex analyses to measure and understand the effectiveness of our cross-channel marketing initiatives. They serve as the liaison between various BUs/Marketing teams and our Data Science function. This role will be responsible for marketing mix modeling and tactics across our portfolio of medicines, providing ROI analyses and data-driven insights to respective marketing partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, maintain, and run marketing mix, attribution, optimization and simulation models to help optimize marketing reach, frequency exposure and spend across media channels
  • Manage modeling processes from end-to-end including data gathering and cleaning, model building, calibration, cross-validation, and maximizing model accuracy
  • Design data visualizations and presentations to communicate model performance and business impact to marketing leadership teams; Explain complex models in simple terms
  • Proactively identify business questions and determine the optimal approach to answer them through data, analytics, market research, etc.
  • Partner with Marketing Leadership to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Support a data-driven environment by partnering with Marketing leadership on utilizing data for efficient decision making
  • Lead and present strategic and tactical actionable insights/opportunities from a wide variety of data sources: Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), Marketing Mix Modeling, etc.
  • Performing ad hoc or deep dive analyses on related data


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience; PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech reporting and analysis experience
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional effort with minimal oversight
  • Experience in data science with a focus on marketing analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, forecasting and optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, and advanced experience in data management systems
  • Experience with experimental design and/or statistical analysis to drive business decision making
  • Advanced data visualization skills
  • Experience with team leadership, working across functions, and presenting to senior leadership Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources and their application to support business decisions
  • Experience utilizing limited/ sub-optimal data to gain insights in specialty pharmaceutical products or orphan/ rare diseases
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrix organization
  • Strong business acumen knowing how business works; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the pharma industry, business and organization.
