Position Summary

Regional Marketing Managers located in key regions of the country will be the liaison between the home office-based departments, the field-based colleagues and health care professionals who are leaders in their respective fields. These field-based roles will be the primary external representative of Ipsen to nurse leaders, pharmacy leaders, and physicians, both on a regional and national level.

This position will support and coordinate the development of peer to peer tactics associated with both Somatuline® Depot and Onivyde® and potential future Oncology brands.

The candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to effectively align with the members of the extended Ipsen team. This role requires the ability to understand oncology at a level that can support conversations with thought leaders. The Regional Marketing Managers will need the organizational skills to support communicating our internal activities such as new Device Launch as well as organizing the thought leader's exposure to our partners such as speaker bureau, and advisory event planners.

Essential Functions
  • Communicate Ipsen brand goals to key health care professionals in a specific geography.
  • Under the direction of the Brand Leaders, create advocates for our brands at large practices and major institutions throughout the US.
  • Create awareness of new Ipsen projects like the new device launch, new promotional data availability, new indications if approved.
  • Understand organization of complex projects working with external partners such as advisory or peer to peer programs. Organize required supporting documents for programs and communicate with internal stakeholders as needed such as Legal, Compliance and PRC.
  • Appropriate contact with key opinion leaders and key customers and facilitation of contacts between the key leaders and Ipsen management.
  • Support sales team contacts with key regional and national thought leaders.
  • Organized approach to electronic record keeping using Excel, BOX and other programs.
  • Ability to work with Value and Access team and other integrated brand team members for a complete view of Ipsen to the customer.


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Master's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of Oncology sales, marketing or healthcare experience required
  • Experience with academic or institutional sales is desired
  • Experience with internal pharmaceutical teams is desired: marketing, training, access or medical

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve key milestones and business objectives working with peers and colleagues with and without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines. Ability to tradeoff between competing priorities and stakeholders necessary as each Regional Marketing Manager will need to work with multiple Regional Business Directors.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills; ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization; strong presentation skills required.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (excel, word, power point, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated strong organization skills: time management and project management.
