Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Specialist that will contribute to our efforts of developing novel immunotherapies to fight cancer. Such approaches include non-cytotoxic ADC, cell therapies, and screening novel agonists designed to activate innate immune cells. Responsibilities will primarily support in vitro preclinical efforts with some in vivo preclinical disease modeling as well. The ideal candidate will ideally have some experience in developing immunotherapies and proven ability to communicate their findings to internal multi-disciplinary teams.

As an R&D Specialist, a typical day may include:

- Establish/ optimize cell-based immunoassays and prepare detailed protocols, and screen novel CAR, novel antibody formats, and bispecific antibodies for desired function.
- As needed, plan and perform anti-tumor efficacy studies in mice including dosing (IV, IP, SC, etc.) and tumor growth monitoring as needed
- Isolation/expansion of primary immune cells from blood and Leukopacs as well as Isolation of murine immune cells from tissues and blood
- Perform imaging assays to investigate antigen presenting cell function and phagocytosis
- Analyze data using biological and statistical software such as FlowJo, Prism, Excel, etc.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Masters and 3 years of R&D experience in either industry or academic setting or a Bachelors and 5 years experience. We are looking for someone who has experience using general biochemical and molecular assays: qPCR, general cloning, immunoblotting, measurement of growth factors (MSD, ELISA), etc. We are seeking someone with Mid-level to advanced knowledge of flow-cytometry based assays: quantitation of cell numbers, staining of both cell surface and intracellular antigens. Strong skill set for performing a wide variety of in vitro/ex vivo immune cell-based assays, Sterile cell culture technique, and planning, execution, and analysis. Working experience with recombinant lentiviral vectors, virus packaging, transductions, and determination of titer and transduction efficiencies is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft office is required.
