Position Summary:

The Senior Director, Human Resources Operations is focused on creating and delivering high-impact, compliant HR solutions across the function and the overall organization to support business objectives. This position will develop programs and processes that drive employee engagement and consider a global workforce. Will oversee the optimization of HR programs, policies, systems and processes.

Essential Functions:

HR Operations
  • Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook; United States (US)and support Outside US (OUS).
  • Liaise with employment counsel as needed.
  • Will work closely with OUS HR to ensure alignment and bridge between two locales
  • Ensure compliance with all country, federal, state and local requirements.
  • Develop and deliver a vision for HR systems, technology and processes to achieve best in class performance.
  • Utilize metrics and analytics to improve HR and business decision-making.
  • Lead change through process mapping, continuous improvement and communication planning.
  • Seek, identify, and share HR best practices throughout the HR organization.
  • Ensure preparation and compliance for internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with HR leadership to implement appropriate business processes and internal controls.
  • Act as a change agent for all HR related initiatives.
  • Work closely with Head of Total Rewards and HR Business Partners to optimize HRIS capabilities, HR processes and programs.
  • Coordinates effective transfer of information between Payroll, IT, Finance, Stock Administration, etc. in support of all HR transactions.
  • Partner in the implementation of employee engagement strategy and survey processes.
  • Leverage survey insights to identify strategies that support employee engagement.
  • May also help to optimize processes related to recruiting and relocation.
  • Regularly partners with Corporate Communications to ensure messaging alignment with company culture and to ensure employee engagement.

HR Information System Management

  • Responsible for overall HRIS strategic vision and presents a broad range of ideas regarding implementation, upgrades and support.
  • Manage system implementations, upgrades, audits and data integrity of employee and company information.
  • Ensure efficient and effective implementation and use of HRIS system(s) globally, including integration of systems where needed.
  • Utilize systems to increase efficiency, promote employee and manager self-service, and maintain a paperless environment.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure seamless processing of HR transactions and ensure data quality.
  • Ensure organizational training and change management of systems.
  • Performs needed HR transactions in HRIS.
  • Ensures adherence to all SOX requirements for HR transactions.

Other
  • May assist with a variety of HR related initiatives including but not limited to cultural innovations such as flexible work schedules.
  • Supports company performance management from a process and system aspect.
  • May provide guidance regarding Corporate training and conduct HR related training.
  • Acts to represent HR in a wide range of meetings and projects.
  • Provides support in preparation for Board materials.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related area. An equivalent combination of education and applicable experience may be considered.
  • 12+ years of related experience with multi-disciplinary knowledge of Human Resources systems, technology and processes; 6-8 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Experience and proven success in leading cultural change, examining operations to develop and implement fit for purpose, technology-enabled systems and processes.
  • Broad HR knowledge and robust understanding of employment laws across the US
  • Global experience highly preferred.
  • Expertise with vendor selection and vendor management.
  • Significant HRIS experience needed including prior implementation experience; Workday experience highly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated abilities to think creatively and strategically to solve and answer key business questions/problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of management, colleagues and vendors.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at the executive level with the capability to examine and project appropriate details.
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes.
  • Ability to think systemically and make both strategic and tactical decisions on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • May require some domestic and international travel.


Physical Demands / Environment

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures and viewing a computer terminal. The work is performed in an office environment.
