The Account Manager works under the supervision of the Sr. Manager to serve as the primary liaison who partners with Business Owners for all their consultancy needs (e.g., creation of Annual Plans, approval of Needs Assessments, status of contracts, and routing of meeting materials for review and approval). Develops strong relationships with all cross-functional areas and Business Owners to educate them on consultancy processes and ensure all compliance requirements are met.

Serves as point of contact for audits as it relates to area of expertise. Is viewed as the SME for consulting processes, understanding all aspects and nuances of the consulting process. Serves as point of contact for audits as it relates to area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Serves as the point of contact within therapeutic area of responsibility for all aspects associated with HCP / Customer Engagements
  • Establishes Annual Plan schedule to ensure the plans are created and adequate time is provided for approval of the plans by the review committee.
  • Educates Business Owners on how to formulate and define scope and objectives of programs
  • Approves Needs Assessments and ensures they tie back to the Annual Plan
  • Aligned with Therapeutic Area Business Owners to ensure consulting activities are within scope of the Annual Plan and routes modifications / scope changes to Annual Plans for approval.
  • Tracks Annual Plan activities and works with Business Owners to identify whether activities will take place.
  • Responsible for timely communication of status of plans and issues that could impact program timelines
  • Responsible for compliance with Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
  • Identifies, participates in and leads process improvement initiatives
  • Proactively looks for ways to improve, streamline and simplify internal processes and drives implementation of process changes


  • BA/BS required
  • Deep critical thinking skills to evaluate whether Needs Assessments and meeting materials are in alignment with Annual Plans
  • Ability to produce clear, concise and professional communications to business owners and external HCPs/Customers. Ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. Ability to communicate schedules to Business Owners and coordinate activities to ensure business needs and compliance requirements are met.
  • Ability to blend creative thinking, problem solving and deep process expertise to enhance existing business processes or implement new approaches to improve business efficiency and effectiveness. Is viewed as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for consulting processes, understanding all aspects and nuances of HCP engagements
  • Ability to present and explain complex information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding and alignment. Exhibits strategic thinking by enhancing communications with insights and recommendations
  • Strong customer focus and ability to not only manage but exceed customer expectations, immersed in the business
  • Deep understanding of OPPF requirements, HCP reporting and all requirements associated with Group Consulting, Individual Consulting, Speaker Training, and Speaker Programs
  • Provides solutions and contingency plans to facilitate business success. Exerts authority and demonstrates strong decision making ability. Provides innovative solutions to issues
  • Leverages knowledge of customer's goals / priorities and is a strong partner to support those strategies and objectives. Holds self and team accountable for results
  • 4+ years of experience in Pharma industry with a proven track record of exceptionally strong customer service and the ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships
