The Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations team at the Regeneron Genetics Center is seeking an Associate Director candidate. This role will identify, engage, and negotiate with third party collaborators to execute research collaboration agreements that drive the core mission of the RGC and its leadership. Additionally, the Associate Director will interact regularly with RGC senior management and many other cross-functional teams within the organization.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Supporting key in-licensing activities including search/evaluation, due diligence, negotiation/execution including collaborations/licenses with academic and health system partners
  • Partnering with internal legal and intellectual property teams to negotiate and implement appropriate legal agreements to support research and development goals
  • Executing overall RGC BD strategy by working with the RGC Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations team to implement specific deal strategy and structure
  • Contributing to future out-licensing activities including business case, valuation, deal structure, deal terms, and negotiation approach
  • Collaborating with finance to identify, conduct, and/or coordinate business/financial analysis to support the transaction process

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS in biology, chemistry, or related science or BA in business, economics or related fields. MBA or equivalent work experience with a scientific background preferred but not required. Healthcare experience of 5-10 years, preferably within a pharmaceutical/biotech company or genomics research center. Business development, licensing and / or academic technology transfer experience is also preferred. We need someone who can lead new efforts within the RGC to expand our collaborations and licensing agreements, in the service of delivering better solutions for our patients.
