The Process Development Automation Engineer leads a platform and analytical assays on the liquid handlers for routine sample characterization. We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the latest automation technologies and willing to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual will execute experiments under limited supervision, following written or oral instructions and have a mastery of general laboratory techniques.

In This Role, A Typical Day Might Look Like the Following:

- Developing and troubleshooting workflows on automated systems in Hamilton Robotics, Tecan, and other systems

- Contributing innovative solutions to increase efficiency and decrease costs while continuing to improve sample throughput and data quality

- Evaluating and adopting new equipment to benefit the impact of workflows

- Running platform analytical assays on the liquid handlers for routine sample characterization

- Maintaining GLP compliance for all laboratory work and documentation related to automated assay verifications in accordance with regulations and company SOPs

- Anticipating and overcoming challenges with laboratory supplies/equipment

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS or MS degree in science/engineering or a related field with 2+ years of automation experience. Direct experience programming Hamilton STARs using Venus software and operating/programming liquid handlers are required. We want someone who has experience with Hamilton's Vantage and programming within Instinct and programming with Tecan liquid handlers using EVOware software, but it is not required. Experience with object-oriented programming (Python, R, Java, Visual Basic) is a plus.
