Job Details
As an R&D Specialist a typical day might include the following:
- Conducting experiments, mouse surgeries, and blood collection and tissue samples using basic lab techniques
- Developing and optimizing relevant disease mouse models of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and analysis of associated disease-related pathologies by flow cytometry, histology and ELISA
- Creating and executing cell-based assays to screen candidate antibodies for various research programs
- Performing ELISAs and/or MSDs to measure cytokine levels and determine antigen binding for various research programs
- Screening candidate antibodies through cell-based assay execution for multiple research programs
- Troubleshooting methodological and technical issues, interpreting experimental data and literature, and communicates results to all levels
- Contributing to lab maintenance and project management by developing innovative methods or technologies

- You have proven expertise on collecting and analyzing biological data using computer literacy

To be considered for this opportunity, you must either have a BS degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an MS degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in inflammation, autoimmunity, or mucosal immunity and relevant preclinical mouse models. Experience with proper handling and care of mice and mouse models of autoimmune or inflammatory diseases is required. Multi-parameter flow cytometry and data/biological data analysis experience and using ELISA with preferred experience using MSD. Experience in analyzing biological data using GraphPad Prism, SoftMax Pro, FACS, FlowJo or Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) Discovery Workbench software is preferred.
