Job Summary

This position is a supporting role for various Sales Operations functions to include; performing domestic and global commercial product portfolio sales operations, facilitating International Sales Contract deliverables, performing ad hoc forecasting/sales reporting and analytics, and identifying/developing/implementing global Sales Operations process improvements.

Sales Operations
  • Sales order processing to include quote/contract generation, sales order entry, and product delivery execution.
  • Responsible for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements related to customer sales order processing.
  • Works closely with internal and external customers to identify, understand, and resolve issues regarding order processing, delivery, reporting, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the upkeep of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution to be used cross-functionally among teams having business relationships with external customers, KOLs, SMEs, and MCM industry leaders.
  • Contribute to S&OP meetings for designated products.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries.

International Contract Support/Administration
  • Demonstrates confidence, practical intelligence and accountability for meeting contract deliverables and timelines.
  • Develops strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
  • Ensures Emergent's prime contract compliance and Emergent contractor's reporting compliance.
  • Leads the preparation of persuasive proposals and responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) as necessary. Consult with subject matter experts as needed to clarify details and develop custom responses.

Diligence and Product Dealer Activities
  • Assists with the execution of due diligence requirements for new or renewed business partners in accordance with established Diligence Policy and working group requirements.
  • Works with Emergent CRM systems to ensure business partners are compliant with FCPA training requirements.
  • Assist with the development of periodic business partner status reports to External Facing Team to ensure business partners are fulfilling responsibilities under current and effective agreements in compliance with sales-related SOX and international FCPA requirements.

Strategy and Process Improvements
  • Challenges the status quo and identify and support the implementation of innovative ways to improve various sales operations processes in a manner yielding greater value to customers (internal and external).
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team members to identify, support and execute strategic opportunities for product improvements (e.g. International registrations, label revisions, new indications).
  • Supports the development of sales operations processes for current and new products.
  • Collaborates with Internal Audit to co-author (and adhere to for audit purposes) new SOX compliant workflow processes as required.
  • Other activities as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience & Skills
  • Business-related Bachelor's degree (e.g. Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.); an MBA is desired but not required
  • International contract operation experience with NATO countries desired
  • Three to Five years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated industry
  • Prior contract experience is preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Good working knowledge of roles of various departments within a biotechnology, drug development or highly regulated organization desired.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong analytical ability, detailed oriented, self-disciplined, and demands high-quality results.
  • Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP), desired but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix-team environment, proactive and can prioritize in an entrepreneurial environment.
