Who you are
The Sr. Manager, FP&A will have a key role in supporting several of our pre-clinical affiliates and the BridgeBio commercial organization. The role will have the unique opportunity to work on multiple elements of the drug-development and commercialization value chain. The role will partner closely with Commercial leaders across Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations and Medical functions to drive finance activities including expense forecasting and management, revenue recognition, gross to net forecasting and analysis, government pricing processes, as well as commercial analytics. The role will also partner closely with leaders of several of our pre-clinical affiliates. Success in this role will require cultivating partnerships across teams, strong communication, ability to influence, and strategic thinking skills to drive value to the business. Reporting to the Director or FP&A, this is a high impact, executive-facing role that will support pre-commercial and launch activities for BridgeBio's first product, as well as the company's growth toward becoming a multi-product commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company.

Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to coordinate and develop annual budget and periodic forecasts, including revenue, margin, OPEX, capital spend and headcount
- Perform budget versus actual analysis at the consolidated, project, and department levels to identify and understand variances, assess associated risks and opportunities, and communicate results to senior management
- Responsible for all monthly close responsibilities in accordance with accounting procedures and timelines
- Support pre-commercial and launch activities. Work closely with constituents to develop processes to enable forecasting and revenue recognition and ensure financial systems and corporate programs meet business needs
- Partner with commercial organization to leverage research and secondary data to understand and challenge sales projections for short- and long-term financial models
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to create monthly/quarterly reporting dashboard to track key financial and performance metrics
- Support special projects as needed. Provide financial assessments and guidance for strategic projects and business cases
- Participate in financial activities to support government contracting, pricing, pricing calculations and reporting
- Develop and deliver presentations to senior management with clear and concise objectives, analyses, and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with peers in FP&A and Accounting to drive achievement of functional goals
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in finance, accounting or related field
- Professional experience in a commercial-stage pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical organization
- Ability to establish strong business relationships and interact cross-functionally and at all levels
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively to identify issues, gather relevant data points and recommend solutions
- Must be a strong communicator capable of explaining/presenting complex financial concepts and problems clearly and effectively to all constituents
- Customer service oriented; able to understand business requirements while maintaining ownership for projects and results
- Capable of conceptual, innovative thinking in forecasting and workforce planning methods and techniques
- Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills; experienced in developing financial models, leading analysis, and explaining options and implications
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of working under pressure and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
- Strong team player; able to integrate and thrive in a matrix environment
- Capable of demonstrating executive presence, leadership abilities and business acumen
- Process and systems improvement mindset for creating solutions to problems that work across boundaries beyond this role
