Purpose:

The Data and Compliance Lead role is expected to collaborate with multiple US Commercial functions such as MABI, HEOR, Patient Services, AAS and other teams to support and provide them data services such as data onboarding and ingestion, data quality management, data integrations and enrichments and data processing automation in a compliant manner. Additionally, the role also is expected to provide consultation and direction across US Commercial BTS organization on Data Compliance policy, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Implementation Management Accountability

  • Develops business relationships with all levels in the BTS organization, business functions, enterprise teams and external partners to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts in a compliant manner.
  • Partners with designated and works independently with US Commercial functional areas to understand business processes and use cases to identify resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology
  • Document and review business use cases with business and technical teams for feedback
  • Collaborate with vendor/partners to align on expectations, service levels and deliverables
  • Create a work plan and align with the project team and end-users on key milestones and schedules
  • Lead implementation vendor/partner teams to implement proposed technology solutions
  • Track projects and conduct ongoing meetings to communicate project status, change requests, risks and decisions
  • Support teams with data classification, HIPAA attestation, audit control and business case intended use approval activities


Partnership with Compliance Leadership

  • Partners with compliance leads to assist in the establishment and evolution of data and data-use policies within the US Commercial organization.
  • Creates and maintains a library of historical pre-approved business use cases on behalf of US Commercial organization with associated risks, assumptions, lessons learned and decisions
  • Partners with compliance leads to create a clear decision-support matrix and associated risks scores that will help in evaluation of all business cases whose intended use have not been approved
  • Leads periodic compilation, analysis, and communication of data compliance and data-use metrics to senior management
  • Identify any potential risks, issues and resolve them by collaborating with compliance leads.
  • Escalate unresolved compliance gaps to senior management, appropriately.


Training, Access, Security, Audit and Recertification Support

  • Ensures necessary training activities are completed based on policies, necessary access requirements and controls are followed
  • Support processes for pre-audit preparation within the US Commercial BTS organization.
  • Participate and support processes for pre-audit preparation within the US Commercial BTS organization.
  • Participate as required and support audits within the US Commercial BTS organization.
  • Partner with US Commercial BTS Compliance team to support annual user-recertification processes across systems generating and storing data.
  • Ensure necessary supplier evaluations are completed on time and are kept current


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least 10 years of related experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a regulated healthcare environment where in Quality/Compliance management is a key requirement
  • Excellent analytical, judgment and consultative capabilities and communication skills and the ability to work with IT management and staff.
  • Strong relationship building and decision-making abilities.
