TEMP Manager, Clinical Sourcing

Summary
The Manager of Clinical Sourcing will be responsible to support and assist in the development of the category management strategy by gathering and building business unit supply needs and specifications. She/he works collaboratively with the Category Manager and business unit stakeholders to commercially & competitively assess the local supply base's capabilities and qualifications for Regeneron's interests. The Manager of Clinical Sourcing owns the local supplier relationship and manages ongoing performance and service delivery. She/he must have demonstrated capability to manage a supply base and maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality & cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities
As the Manager of Clinical Sourcing, a typical day might include the following:Leading and/or working with others to solve issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trends
Using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions
Exercising a broad understanding of the processes, procedures and systems and using that knowledge to improve efficiency and produce high quality work on problems with cross functional impact
Specifying local contractual agreements, working with internal legal department, and driving any changes that are critical to Regeneron's interest
Developing and executing local sourcing strategies for respective area of spend responsibility to optimize value
Soliciting and analyzing requests for proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring contract objectives are delivered (savings, SLAs, etc.); ensuring compliance with local pricing agreements and internal policies/procedures
Managing local vendor/supplier relationships and ensuring performance and accountability are tracked/improved
Developing and managing program policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Company guidelines, related laws and governmental guidelines
Identifying local supply market projects to apply sourcing and procurement methodologies
Coaching proficiency on procurement technical skills among peers & junior team members

This job might be for you if:
You have knowledge with Sourcing Contracting, ERP, eRFX systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)
You have the ability to leverage standard business applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint for communicating, presenting and analyzing
Working level proficiency using negotiations skills
Cost modeling knowledge
You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Have the ability to formulate presentations and business cases that can influence stakeholders
You have the ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team with limited supervision
Have program management experience and project management experience
Have previous leadership experience

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of Bachelor's plus 7+ years of relevant, progressive experience, including a strong preference for 5 years directly in sourcing Pharma/Biotech or industry or Master's plus 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience, to preferably include 3 years directly in sourcing within Pharma/Biotech. CPSM/CPM preferred.
