This job description aims at describing the profile of an Operations Project Manager located in La Jolla, CA, USA. That positions reports to the Site Operations Head of the Synthorx platform.

Mission:

Following the acquisition of the Synthorx company by Sanofi, this role will be a member of the local operations team and its mission will be to assist with integration as well as ensure operational excellence of the La Jolla facility.

Working relationships:
  • All departments within Synthorx and selected service providers
  • Peer Networks within Sanofi (ITS, P2P, Procurement, Legal, R&D, etc...)
  • Key external stakeholders and government representatives.
  • Industry and peer forums to exchange best practices, benchmark performanceand stay abreast of trends in industry


Main activities:

Implementation Project Manager:
  • Key member of the implementation team at the site level.
  • Create/document process flows
  • Creates and updates project timelines
  • Facilities cross-functional team meetings
  • Take action after group discussions
  • Key partner with all Sanofi implementation team members
  • Supports Site Operations Head to oversee the Synthorx strategic project planning and global budget process.
  • Site lead for change management mindset and a continuous improvement leader.


Site Management:
  • Assist to develops and implement the Master Plan of the Site in in close collaboration with the Sanofi functions present on the site and in alignment with annual budgets.
  • Manage daily facilities needs
  • Schedule, contract and oversee onsite contractors/service
  • Accountable for business continuity of lab, office and supply chain operations
  • Ensure compliance with Sanofi EHS policy

Qualifications:
  • BS with a minimum of 6 years' experience in operations, compliance and business systems
  • Fluent in English
