I: Job Summary

Emergent BioSolutions is seeking a Training & Development Coordinator to support multiple training initiatives within the commercial organization. The Coordinator will assist the different business units while focusing on specific training needs and goals. This individual will also aid in driving innovative ideas and practices that will improve the overall knowledge transfer process.

II: Responsibilities

  • Be an advocate for the training and development program to think in new ways of training and learning
  • Support the sales enablement platform by assisting in uploading content, creating reports, monitoring curriculum and ensuring overall accuracy
  • Assist in technology implementation, execution, and compliance
  • Help manage the promotional review committee process and implementation
  • Provide input in the training & development strategy and plan
  • Track current training methods and best practices
  • Partner with different business units with the event planning process
  • Aid in project managing different technical and tactical tasks within T&D
  • Drive all aspects of the translation process
  • Manage time effectively and is well organized
  • Establish priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Display creativity, flexibility, and initiative
  • Be a self-starter and independent performer
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Show ability to communicate professionally in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrate talent to handle multiple tasks

III: Education, Experience & Skills

• Ability to develop ideas and solutions to excel in the commercial organization
  • Bachelor's degree preferred


  • Excellent computer and technical skills
  • Previous experience working as a training coordinator, MLR/PRC coordinator or event planner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and work cross-functionally with members of other departments
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite, SAP, SharePoint, Concur, Veeva
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
  • Previous experience working and managing multiple vendors and external partners
  • Experience in monitoring yearly training plans and materials for all departments
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and sales enablement tools

IV: Physical/Mental Requirements

Type/keyboard, visual acuity, good eye/hand coordination, stand, walk, sit, twist/turn, climb, reach outward, reach above shoulder, hand dexterity, bend, squat/kneel, sense of feel, sense of hearing, sense of smell, lift/carry ___ lbs., and pull ___ lbs. Use phone, fax, copier, and computer. Use hand tools and operate forklift. Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, calibrate precise measurements, problem solve, make decisions, supervise, plan, communicate, prepare written communications, and prepare transaction documents. Drive automatic/standard vehicle. Work outdoors, around noise above conversation level, in hot/cold temperatures, in high humidity, where ventilation is needed, in multiple locations, with restricted access to laboratory, in contact with Select Agents, and with exposure to animals, animal areas, or equipment used in animal areas.
