POSITION: Creative cell therapy process development scientist / engineer role for startup near SF. It's with a pioneering cell therapy biotech company. Process development experience in cell therapy, in stem cell therapy, in gene therapy, or in viral vectors would be of high interest to this startup. This unique PD role requires hands-on PD expertise and creativity not only to refine upstream processes but also to refine downstream processes to optimize clinical efficiencies and patient safety. Requires a jack of all trades scientist/engineer with the flexibility and skill to address and troubleshoot de novo products and processes.  In addition to finding out more about this unique (and definitely non-boring) role, there is also a lot to learn about this progressive company’s unique technical platform and collaborative and dynamic work culture and top-down emphasis on good communication and good science. REQUIREMENTS: * BS or MS or PhD in a biological discipline or an Engineering Degree.* Industry process development experience in cell therapy, stem cell therapy, gene therapy, or viral vectors. * Hands-on process development lab expertise and creative upstream and downstream troubleshooting skills to advance robust de novo therapeutic-candidates and processes.  * Expertise in bioreactor systems. * Proven skills in experimental design, implementation, analysis, and results-presentation. *Knowledge of DOE, QbD, and PAT in relation to cell therapy process development. * Independence, team skills, and communication skills. * Flexibility and multi-tasking skills ideal for a fast-paced startup.
