Job Details
Responsibilities:
• Procure and generate purchase orders of raw materials.
• Coordinate and track orders and deliveries of GMP raw materials & consumables to meet target dates and adequate supply of materials necessary for GMP production and R&D activities.
• Track and monitor demand, lead time patterns and purchasing trends.
• Proactively report product and material availability issues.
• Schedule and oversee on-time delivery of materials.
• Resolve materials and supplier issues promptly.
• Liaises with suppliers, distributors, and Fate's Purchasing, Legal, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Accounting.
• Collaborate with Material Management Associates in inventory issues, non- conformances, deviations, and shipping problems.
• Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management
• Resolve billing and shipping problems and provide information to suppliers.
• When needed, visit and evaluate suppliers for quality, timeliness, procedures, and fit to goals.
• Identify, resolve, and forecast problems and potential solutions to inventory and quality. Including metrics, cost effective solutions, and inventory reduction process.
• Collaborate with laboratory and manufacturing personnel to ensure effective management of raw materials supply to support in-house and external manufacturing operations
• Support Quality Systems through Change Control/Enrollments/Deviation/CAPA for material related issues
• Complete daily inventory transactions
• Support development and maintain ERP/MRP system and materials supply process
• Support and coordinate inventory projection and control
• Coordinate all aspects of supply planning including removal of expired materials and cycle counts
• Adheres to good documentation practices
• Assists on projects and assignments as necessary
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply chain, Operations, Sciences or equivalent relevant experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in material planning, inventory management, procurement or related position in a biologics/pharmaceutical cGMP manufacturing environment
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to adjust to workload on an always changing fast pace environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly and easily learn new applications
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• May need to work with hazardous materials
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 pounds of equipment or supplies
• 100% on-site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA
