Summary:
The Manager Trade Analytics is responsible for harmonizing, governing and delivering insights derived from data relative to: Specialty Distributors/Wholesalers, Specialty Pharmacies, Group Purchasing Organizations, pricing and discount programs, HCP orders/patterns. Integration of hub data may be required to derive insights.
This position contributes to the delivery of data and analytics for the Trade, GPO and Distribution team within Market Access for the Ophthalmology CBU.
Responsibilities:
Data Development and Management
1) Vendor Management
Data Aggregators
- Manage current and future deliverables to meet the business needs
- Ensure vendor and internal teams implement effective QA/QC steps for data deliverables
Group Purchasing Organizations roster and membership tracking (GPOs)
1) HCP Customer Groups (Parent/Child Relationship Groupings)
- Verify internal HCP Customer Groupings align with Specialty Distributor Accounts and have the appropriate parent to child linkage
2) Support Trade with their GPO reporting that is shared with the Ophthalmology CBU
3) Support Trade with their analytics related to the following:
- HCP Customer Groups, GPO Rosters and action plans
- Customer buying patterns and trends by Class of Trade and other sub-categories
- i.e. quintiles, geography, brand market share, etc.
4) Rebate Analyses
- Determine how rebate or contract eligible customers are performing against the national average of non-rebate/contract eligible customers
Physician Discount Programs
1) Provide ongoing analytical support to monitor contract pricing and discount programs outside of GPO offerings, and identify trends and opportunities
HCP Ordering Patterns
1) Determine HCP ordering patterns, identify trends and changes and communicate to stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Data Management - ability to align and manage data aggregator services with business management needs
• Analytical Skills - ability to analyze a wide variety of data including sales and financial data to make business decisions
• Resource Management - ability to manage internal and external resources effectively
• Business Planning - ability to develop business forecasts and plans
• Presentation Skills - ability to create and develop reports in excel or other data tools as well as PowerPoint presentations, including formatting, design and layout of insights to communicate clearly to stakeholders
BA/BS degree required
Candidates should have at least 7+ years progressive, industry related experience with the following:
• Minimum 4 years experience with data, analytics and reporting in pharmaceutical/biotech industry,must have experience with GPO contracting data elements (i.e. rosters, parent/child, customer masters, 867s/chargeback data, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years experience with pharmaceutical wholesalers and specialty pharmacies data sets preferred.
• Previous experience within pharmaceutical commercial data-operations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decision makers who drive key input.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and in PowerPoint is required.
• Desire experience with analytical or business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, SQL, and SAS.
