Summary:
We are seeking a motivated R&D Associate to join the VI-Next group to support our efforts in developing new technologies in antibody and cell-based therapeutics. This new team member will contribute to project advancement by cloning and validating candidate therapeutic molecules using various immunoassays and functional assays. The ideal candidate must have the ability to perform both in vitro and in vivo laboratory work, have strong skills in molecular biology and cloning, and knowledge of immunology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Immunization of mice, collection and processing of blood and tissue samples (including isolation of specific cell populations), and subsequent ex vivo analysis (via flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, Western blot).

• Generation of plasmid DNA constructs using molecular cloning techniques (Gibson assemblies, PCR, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, miniprep, maxiprep, primer design, and sequence analysis).

• Maintenance of mammalian cells and manipulation (e.g. transfections, and transductions for stable line generation), and subsequent characterization/validation.

• Design and execute immunoassays and functional assays (e.g. ELISA, luciferase assays) based on established protocols or published literature. Troubleshoot assay-related issues and optimize experimental conditions with the assistance of supervisor.

• Analyze data (using Prism, Excel, and/or FlowJo), interpret results, keep detailed records of experiments, present research data in formal and informal group meetings.

Requirements:

• Strong skills in molecular biology and cloning.

• Proficient in aseptic techniques in maintenance and handling of cell lines and primary cells.

• Experiences in handling of mice, collection of blood and tissue samples are strongly preferred. Experience with various injection routes (e.g. subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, intravenous) will be a distinct advantage.

• Skills in basic immunoassays such as ELISA, Western Blot, and multi-color flow cytometry procedures, including analysis using standard software (e.g, FlowJo) are highly desirable.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills are essential.

• Ability to work individually and in a team setting.

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree (with 2+ years of laboratory experience) or Master's Degree (with 0 to 2 years of lab experience) in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
