Job Description

The Director, Performance Improvement & Innovations (PII), provides leadership and expertise in driving process and system improvements that enable compliant and efficient Clinical Development (CD) delivery. They apply leading performance improvement methods (eg Lean, Six Sigma) to define key process gaps, measure current state, assess strategic options for improvement, drive improvement projects, and set up appropriate metrics to track consistency and efficiency of Clinical Development processes. This role is a key part of the CD Quality Framework. Leads the development of process improvement strategies for internal and external customer and partner with a patient focus. Designs, develops and delivers training programs on the company's process improvement capability as requested. A primary responsibility is to monitor changes to global regulations, and engage stakeholders at all levels of the CD organization to evaluate the impact of changes. Once the analysis is complete, work with responsible groups to develop an implementation strategy that includes changes to processes, and procedures within Clinical Development This role supports all Therapeutic areas, Clinical Development functions and interfaces with the senior leadership team. They are the central point of cross-functional communication for our CDO function and own the CD Net content.

Basic:

• Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in Science related discipline; Post graduate qualifications in scientific or business related field preferable.
• 10+ years experience working in or supporting Biotechnologies in a performance management and innovation capacity with experience in clinical operations, clinical data management, or clinical systems within the CRO/Biotechnology environment.
• Proven leadership and global Clinical Operations experience is essential.
