Assist the Director, Liquidity in managing and planning the liquidity of the Company. This includes the day-to-day management of the strategic investment portfolio, internal investments portfolio, and evaluation of liquidity tools such as credit facilities. This position will also manage the cash forecasting process from both a short-term and long-term perspective. In addition, the position will assist in the analysis of capital allocation and risk management strategies. This may include analyzing transactions such as debt issuances, foreign exchange hedging, dividends or share buybacks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the weekly Treasury cash forecast process which includes cash flow projections and interest income/expense

• Develop and maintain the medium- to long-term liquidity and economic view forecasts, by legal entity and currency, as appropriate

• Manage the Company's strategic investment portfolio, including preparation of both monthly performance analytics and quarterly investment committee material. Keep abreast of market and portfolio developments. Key day-to-day contact for investment managers, custodian and reporting vendor. Lead the quarterly investment committee meeting

• Manage the Company's internal investments portfolio, responsible for electronic trading and tracking of commercial paper and U.S. Treasuries

• Support the management of the Company's share repurchase program, tracking of repurchase activity by the broker(s) and conducting scenario analyses as needed

• Manage the quarterly compliance process for financial and non-financial covenants related to syndicated external credit facility, syndicated lease financing facility and/or public debt and research covenant impact on these agreements related to any contemplated business changes

• Manage Company's hedging programs, including ongoing monitoring, reporting and transaction settlement and implement any future hedging programs (inclusive of foreign exchange hedging programs)

• Maintain intercompany lending/borrowing process and provide required reporting to Accounting

• Assist in preparation of analysis of capital structure and capital allocation, as needed

• Develop presentations to ratings agencies and other internal and external constituents

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills

• Demonstrates ability to think creatively and independently and proactively propose solutions. Strong organizational abilities with an attention to detail

• Strong Microsoft Excel and modeling skills

• In-depth and broad knowledge around treasury concepts, including debt and investments, capital markets and capital allocation (e.g., share buyback)

• MBA and 2-3 years biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred

• Bloomberg, Reuters and Hyperion knowledge a plus.

• Five or more years of capital markets or finance experience either in the Treasury group of an international company or investment bank.
