We are seeking a versatile and energetic human resource professional to join our team as Sr Associate Talent Acquisition for our University Relations and FUEL Programs to support our growing, and recognized college recruiting program at Amgen's Puerto Rico site, Amgen Manufacturing Limited.

AML is Amgen's largest multi-product manufacturing site and most of the combination products comprising Amgen's portfolio move through this 1.7 million square foot biotechnology facility.

About the role

The primary focus of this role is supporting university relations and college recruitment for AML's Junior Leadership Programs entry level roles across the organization. This person will also provide support to the FUEL Workforce Team by participating in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

You will be instrumental in attracting and retaining high caliber early career professionals through your delivery of a stellar recruiting service aligned to AML's talent needs. The Sr Associate Talent Acquisition will build relationships externally with college career services and faculty members as well as internally with AML's business leaders and partners.

We are seeking a self-starter professional with a passion for innovative solutions, proven experience college hiring, college sourcing and enthusiasm for building a memorable UR Team experience that aligns with our mission and culture.

Key Competencies
  • Maintain and grow relationships with faculty, career services and administrative staff of target universities.
  • Support the business strategy for increased visibility at key schools through professor site visits, support of on-campus clubs and organizations, coordinating classroom speaking events with alum, etc.
  • Engage and develop strong teams of alumni volunteers for each target school
  • Coordinate site visits or other programs and activities centered around university relations and engagement
  • Execute on strategy for diversity recruitment as set by leadership
  • Maintain students' section of the Career website including campaigns, videos, etc.
  • Development of recruitment materials such as brochures, Promotional Items, etc.
  • Assist in the development of new and strategic advertising methods to attract talent

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Assist in planning and supporting all on-campus events:
  • Work closely with Program Manager and Leadership to execute on the recruitment strategy for internship and associate program
  • Create Talent Factory UR job requisitions
  • Post jobs on Amgen's and university job portals
  • Schedule career fairs, first round interviews and other events (mock interviews, classroom presentations, etc.) at schools and at Amgen
  • Manage scheduling of volunteer recruitment teams (typically Amgen employees who are alumni of each school who attend the various recruitment activities such as career fairs, interviews, etc.)
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract top talent (such as career fairs, on-campus recruitment, networking events, information sessions, social media, etc.)
  • Coordinate interview super days (Amgen Day) for Coops and Internship Programs; this includes scheduling interview rooms, interviewers and candidates, generating schedules, oversight of event logistics and candidate experience

You will Need:

Master's Degree

Or

Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' prior experience in Human Resource University Relations Programs and / or inititatives

Beyond that, you will also need
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems or another Liberal Arts major
  • 1+ years' Prior campus recruiting experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of HR Recruiting Platforms preferable Workday
  • Demonstrable experience delivering results by driving innovation and exhibiting your expertise to influence talent decisions
  • Demonstrable track record of building strong pipelines and closing high-quality candidates
  • Experience supporting large organization / customer base
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish combined with organizational skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Strong social skills with high level of maturity
  • Project Management know-how
  • Effective analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and the ability to learn additional programs as needed
  • Passionate about rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever it takes to get the job done in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work collaboratively across company and with candidates and staff at all levels
  • Experience with a wide variety of systems and tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Excel, Power Point, Word)
