Summary: Responsible for coordinating and assisting with the design, installation, commissioning, startup and validation of all assigned new HVAC BAS projects as well as updating current systems and documentation. Concurrently provide BAS Technical and troubleshooting support to ongoing maintenance and calibration activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Plan, organize and coordinate the execution of Facilities BAS projects from design, construction, commissioning, start-up and validation of the system.

• Communicate status of BAS projects to applicable project teams.

• Works closely with QA Validation to create and complete BAS Validation documentation.

• Ensure that BAS projects, documentation and applicable commissioning, validation GxP and GMP requirements are met or exceeded.

• Verifying configuration specifications and drawings are "as-built" and are updated to current system conditions.

• Develops and updates SOP's for modifying the BAS.

• Coordinate with engineering to Design/create BAS standards/ specifications.

• Develops technical evaluations and test plans for changes within the qualified BAS.

• Creates GMP documents for Pharmaceutical environments including Validation documents related to Building Automation.

• Submission of documents into Regeneron quality documentation system.

• Installation of devices and creating programs within the systems for various business needs.

• Daily monitoring of BAS to ensure they are operating and optimal levels.

• Communicate and interact with electrical and BAS contractors to ensure that work is performed safely and meets contractual specifications and scheduling requirements.

• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of building automation systems as necessary.

• Follows current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) and good business practices (G).

• Ensure safety with strict adherence to SOP's, cGMP's, and quality standards.

• Provide input and support during regulatory inspections.

• Available during non-business hours for emergency needs.

Knowledge and Specialized Skills:

• Good organizational, oral, communication and written skills.

• Working knowledge of computer-based programs and controls.

• Ability to read, write and understand BAS computer programs.

• Ability to read and understand technical material including operating manuals, architectural drawing and system P&ID'S.

Education and Experience:

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience in facility systems engineering.

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in BAS design and construction.

• Electronic, PLC, HVAC, experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industry preferred.
