Amgen is seeking a Bioprocess Development, Associate to join our team and work from Amgen's beautiful Cambridge, Massachusetts, campus. To learn more:

The Bioprocess Development Associate will be a team member within a fast-growing Pivotal Process Development subgroup.

The Associate in a Bioprocess Sciences and Technology group within the Pivotal Drug Substance Process Development department with be responsible for the development of cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins. This will involve mainly bench and pilot-scale process development experimental activities, data documentation, as well as technology transfer to manufacturing facilities. The candidate will work in a team environment, collaborating with various colleagues in process and product development/engineering.

Will participate on drug substance development teams as a team member

Strong experimental skills, good scientific understanding, good written and oral communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in biotech/pharma industry with emphasis on protein production in various mammalian expression hosts

A Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biomedical engineering, or Bioprocessing discipline or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry preferred.

Strong knowledge and experience of purification or bioreactor strategies for antibodies

Experience in laboratory techniques supporting protein purification and or bioreactor operations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexibly in a dynamic and collaborative environment,
