Amgen is seeking a Salesforce Administrator and Developer who will be based onsite in Tampa, FL. As a key member of the Law and Compliance Information Systems Team, the Developer will build products that use the platform capabilities which are scalable, secure, align to best practices, and in an agile manner. The Developer will liaison with Amgen's Salesforce platform team and other Enterprise IT product teams to build a global solution to enable Amgen staff adhere to internal and external compliance regulations while pursuing Amgen's mission. The goal is to develop declarative and programmatic solutions in a manner that brings rapid business value for Amgen, improves re-usability, and minimizes technical debt. As a Product Team, we will contribute to the development of Salesforce practices at Amgen. You will stay abreast to the roadmap and capabilities, provide feedback to and develop standard methodologies, optimize build or release processes, and mentor other Developers in the community.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage day to day development activities on the Salesforce.com platform using Apex, Visual Force, Lightning Web Components and Aura
  • Develop estimates for projects
  • Support the creation of customizations and integrations required to solution delivery
  • Configure the Salesforce.com application based on the business requirements
  • Model new custom objects and fields to support business requirements
  • Develop custom applications using APEX, JavaScript, Visual Force, AJAX, HTML, CSS
  • Apply best practices and experience to build Salesforce applications
  • Understand Salesforce security and apply the OWD, sharing patterns, profiles or permissions to your applications
  • Communicate software and system designs using UML, lucid chart or other modeling tools and software.
  • Collaborate with team members to apply abstractions and service-orientation to foster scalability
  • Develop test classes and automation to validate business logic and avoid production issues
  • Research Salesforce capabilities as needed to suit business requirements and provide gap analysis


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive hands-on technical, solution architecture and configuration experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Experience developing in an enterprise environment with numerous applications, development teams, and security provisions and controls
  • Thorough understanding of integration concepts, methodologies, and technologies; functional knowledge of MuleSoft or similar Enterprise Service Bus technologies
  • Experience in SFDC APIs, SOSL, SOQL, SOAP or REST based web services, SQL, XML, and JavaScript
  • Experience with building and maintaining Custom Objects
  • Ability to lead multiple simultaneous tasks, providing consistent record of all activities, while handling confidential work with discretion
  • Experience developing complex products in a regulated or compliant such as HIPAA or SOX
  • Deep knowledge of the capabilities and features of Service Cloud and Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce Health Cloud experience is beneficial but not required
  • Demonstrably excellent, context-specific and adaptive communication and presentation skills across a variety of audiences and situations
  • Established habit of proactive thinking and behavior and the desire and ability to self-start/learn and apply new technologies
  • Salesforce Developer certification required. Admin and/or Platform Builder a plus
  • 4 years of application design and development experience
  • 3 years of experience developing and customizing Salesforce.com application via web services, Apex, SAQL, Aura, Lightning Web Components, Visual Force, JavaScript, Visual Studio Code, IDE, Data Loader, Reports and Dashboards
  • 2 plus years of working with clients and suppliers developing solutions and supporting projects from requirements gathering to release management
  • Experience integrating Salesforce.com with other applications
  • Knowledge and experience with both waterfall and agile project methodologies
