Amgen is seeking a Manager Information Security to join Amgen's Identity and Access Management team and will oversee the design, integration, and support of Amgen's identity provisioning and entitlement management environment, as well as related identity-based technologies (e.g. password synchronization, identity attribute management, group automation, etc.).

The Manager for Provisioning Services will report to the Senior Manager Information Systems based out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading biotechnology companies.

Identity Management at Amgen is a core group responsible for managing all the enterprise directories, identity provisioning and access management/ governance solutions, single sign-on tools, privileged identity management, PKI and other authentication platforms. This team is at the fore-front of enterprise architecture and security at Amgen and is passionate about providing solutions with great end user experience.

Key Activities include:
  • Own and manage Amgen's Provisioning services essentially IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) and Identity Governance and Intelligence (IGI) and MyAccess, Privileged Identity Management (Liberman Red) environments
  • Work with GIP senior management to scope and prioritize information security initiatives aligned with Amgen's goals and objectives
  • Align new and existing applications and systems to IAM/RBAC framework
  • Provide technical and governance oversight to all IdM projects. Lead the analysis, design and implementation of all IdM related projects and be responsible for their successful delivery while meeting the overall security and integrity of the solution
  • Lead the implementation of IdM system upgrades and maintenance and be responsible to ensure the team operates in accordance with organization's change management policies and procedures
  • Lead the team to practice and develop good documentation standards that include system requirement specifications, SOPs, design specifications and other documents based on organizational needs
  • Provide leadership and day to day operational management, participate in troubleshooting sessions, manage and handle escalations, guide and lead disaster recovery exercises, plan continuous process improvement, coordinate and handle budgets for staff and other org specific functions/services
  • Lead efforts and participate in audits covering information security services and technologies
  • Provide mentorship and training on areas of expertise to GIP and Amgen teams
  • Participate in vendor proposals, contract negotiations/renewals
  • This position requires after hours responsibilities and may require travel up to 15%


Basic Qualification

Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Identity and Access and Role Management applications (IBM ISIM, IBM IGI, Sailpoint IdentityIIQ, Microsoft Identity Manager, Liberman Red Identity Manager, Azure and Microsoft B2B solution)
  • Prior job experience in architecture and design/implementation solutioning, cloud solutions - SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce Force platform, PKI and Single sign-on solutions
  • Experience with managing systems in a federally regulated environment with experience in compliance and regulations such as FDA/SOX, GxP, Privacy
  • Good Programming and scripting skills such as PowerShell, Perl, VB Script, Java, C#, etc.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Prior people management experience
  • Military experience


One or more of the following certifications, including but not limited to:
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC)
