Summary:
This position is responsible for a specialized role in the overall asset management lifecycle process. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, the day to day management of Laboratory Asset Utilization, the Regeneron Asset Management Program (RAMP/Asset Recovery), the Laboratory Equipment Service Request process, and maintaining the laboratory Asset Management database in our IWMS software, TRIRIGA. This role requires working with end users at the campus, our suppliers and senior management. The role will examine and analyze data collected for our end users and senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the Asset Recovery RAMP program:
o Implement strategy to promote and expand the program at the Tarrytown site to encourage redeployment of assets
o Manage and organize the RAMP room to ensure efficient use of space
o Develop end user wish list of assets for quick redeployment of assets
o Identify and work with suppliers to receive optimal financial return for surplus of assets
o Identify and work with organizations that would benefit from donated assets
• Implement RFID strategy tracking assets to increase inventory efficiency
• Ability to coordinate the Laboratory Equipment Service Request (LESR) process of identifying, negotiating, creating, and purchasing of service agreements.
o Identify and consolidate service agreements through the Laboratory Equipment Service Request process
o Encourage and support our laboratory personnel's use of the Laboratory Equipment Service Request process by engaging with end users and senior management, performing LESR demonstrations and creating novel ways to spread the use of the process
o Coordinate with end users and suppliers to obtain laboratory asset service documentation and enter/upload in to TRIRIGA on a per asset basis
o Compile data and suggest potential levels of service from vendor for the end users; whether the service level should increase/decrease, moved to in house RE&FM, or discontinued
o Compile and review data to make equipment repair/replace decisions
o Compile data to recommend to the end users assets with poor maintenance records for repair/replace decisions, new equipment purchases, etc.
• Coordinate and schedule business reviews with suppliers, end users, SS&P, Asset Management, and R&D Operations to discuss asset recovery, service agreement metrics and best practices
• Ability to order equipment using the CER process, tag equipment, and create asset record in TRIRIGA
• Implement the Laboratory Asset Utilization strategy in order to capture asset use data that will further drive asset strategy in purchasing and redeployment
Requirements:
• Ability to work within a team environment with an enthusiastic and positive work attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong math and Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Lab Equipment Lifecycle
• Working knowledge of Lab Equipment service contracts/warranties
• Ability to perform work duties with limited supervision
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to drive a high level of customer satisfaction
• Must be detail oriented and have strong ability to perform multiple ongoing projects
Associates Degree
Bachelors Degree
Preferred:
3-5 years of experience working in laboratory setting.
Ordering, Receiving, Asset Management Experience.
