Summary/Scope:

The role of Director, Customer Engagement & Strategic Alliances (Marketing) will work with the Executive Director to support the creation and execution of a comprehensive and unified enterprise wide global engagement plan to develop and solidify relationships with physician and advanced practice provider (NPs, PAs) thought leaders (TLs), as well as support the activities of current and future commercial strategies.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Implement and communicate a unified, strategic framework for ongoing thought leader development/interactions ensuring consistency in external engagements and internal communication
  • Assist our global colleagues with the appropriate identification & securing of US physicians for various educational meetings
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional field based partners to ensure efficient customer engagement
  • Support the creation, maintenance and socialization of a global thought leader mapping database/engagement plan to ensure one repository for all TL strategies, tactics & engagements
  • Provide strategic insight and marketplace information to the organization. Identify and communicate issues, opportunities, and competitive activities through appropriate organizational venues
  • Participate in cross functional planning efforts with Commercial, Global and Medical Affairs for customer interactions at key global congresses and meetings to support one master plan for customer engagement
  • Support the efforts of national educational Initiatives, to include the CAR T Working Group, A-HCP CAR T Steering Committee, Speakers Bureau, etc
  • Attend & support at appropriate regional, national and global meetings
  • Assist the US & Global Marketing Teams on the strategic objectives, content and planning relating to TLs and key customer relationships
  • Support commercial launches globally as needed (US ,Canada, EU)
  • Assist in creation and implementation of advisory boards to gain specific insights
  • Support the strategic plan for Yescarta in partnership with the US Commercial Marketing Team


Key Requirements/Knowledge:
  • Ability to identify and foster enterprise level collaborations between internal and external stakeholders
  • Exemplary leadership & influencing skills
  • In-depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge in hematologic malignancies
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Ability to problem solve, demonstrate flexibility and think strategically

  • Extensive travel required (> 60%)


Prerequisites

BS degree required; 12+ year pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.

Leadership experience preferred. Sales and hematology/oncology experience required.

Additional cross functional, field or home office a plus.

Experience in cellular therapy and/or stem cell transplant desirable.

Exceptional oncology/hematology clinical acumen.
