DESCRIPTION:

  • The Medical Manager will support the team to implement the US Medical strategy, mainly for Orencia (80% time) but will also as needed support Tyk2i and Nulojix (20% time)
  • Support the team to capture ongoing projects and track progress/ output
  • Support medical team congress activities
  • Support the medical team with Prep review, material submissions into the system
  • Collaborates with functional areas outside of home office medical to keep track of projects: e.g. IME
  • Coordinates and support preparation of senior executive presentations, ensuring that the team has captured all relevant information.
  • Proactively align and build strong relationships with champions and other advisors/stakeholders on issues or concerns to provide medical advice to ensure balance of messages in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings (training, educational and others, including medical congresses) to remain current on ever changing regulations, relevant new medical/scientific information and commercial strategy

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • PharmD, MD or PhD preferred with minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical practice or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of medical writing and medical review of promotional materials in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong scientific/medical written and verbal communication skills required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry as well as the external compliance, transparency & conflict-of-interest environments preferred
  • Experience in delivering a customer-focused service
  • Business acumen and ability to impact and influence internal stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated success in driving optimal business results in a complex matrix organization required
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives
  • Scientific Knowledge or Clinical experience in the area of Rheumatology and/or Immunology is preferable
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, have excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
