Intern - Advanced Analytics, Summer 2020

Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.

These positions are in our Advanced Analytics department within Commerical Ops in Sleepy Hollow, NY. There are 6 openings for Summer 2020. Each opening is described below.

Position 1:
The focus of this opportunity will be to help and design administer the Incentive Compensation plans for the field sales teams. The Incentive Compensation plans (i.e. Bonus plans) are utilized to motivate the field sales team by linking their compensation to performance outcomes. The student will have the opportunity to help develop and evaluate Incentive Compensation ideas by building performance models and then analyzing, interpreting and communicating the results to the cross-functional stakeholders. The opportunity will also involve evaluation and administration of the reporting process to ensure stringent quality control and timeliness of reports.

Position 2:
This position is within the Incentive Compensation (IC) & Alignments department. This student will work on sales force alignment and call planning activities. The department is currently in the process of onboarding a territory alignment tool and rolling out process improvements for enhancing and automating the territory alignment process. In addition, we are exploring options and interest in adopting the use of a call plan for the sales forces.

Position 3:
This position is in Advanced Analytics group in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This student will work on data science projects to apply data science skills to analytics that support strategic and tactical decision making in the areas of sales force and marketing effectiveness.

Position 4:
This student will be responsible for providing analytics that support strategic and tactical decision making in the areas of sales force and marketing effectiveness. Analytical tools will be utilized to track, report, and analyze sales trends and identify performance drivers. Such responsibilities include analyzing resource allocation, running correlation analysis, and uncovering actionable insights to drive sales growth. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with corporate internal, commercial partners, and vendors to solve issues and understand impact, and organizing and standarizing current analysis to increase efficiencies.

Position 5:
This position is in the Market Access Analytics team, within the Insights and Analytics department, located at Regeneron's office in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
The student will be provided background on Market Access landscape, upon starting the position. Followed by hands on projects, involving analytics working with Payer data and PowerPoint presentations. the intern will also have the opportunity to work on a Capstone Project and present back to internal stakeholders towards the end of the internship.
An example of a Capstone Project: Evaulate drivers of EYLEA preformance, based on analysis of Payers and competitors. Explain the variances in performance across Payers, i.e. driven by Payer's ability to control medical policy, impact from competitiors particularly recently approved anti-VEGF drug, etc.

Position 1:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

• Must be pursuing a degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field. MBA Degree a plus

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SAS. Experience with Pharma data such as ICVIA Xponent and DDD data is desirable.

Position 2:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's

• It is not required to be in a specific major program

• MS Office tools: Powerpoint, Excel, Analytical Thinking

Position 3:

• Must be pursuing a Master's or PhD

• Must be pursuing a degree in Data Science

• Python

Position 4:

• Must be currently enrolled in a full time academic program

• Must be pursuing a degree in Mathematics,
Computer Science or Business Analytics

• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Computer Programming / SAS / Tableau

Position 5:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's

• May be pursuing a degree in Math and Science but not required.

• Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.

Position 6:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

• Must be pursuing a degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field. MBA Degree a plus

General Intern Program Information:

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD

• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid

• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)

• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!

• Present to your team on your summer project

Transportation and Housing:

• Housing stipend available for those students who meet mileage requirements

• A free shuttle is offered from the North White Plains or Tarrytown train stations to the Tarrytown, NY or Sleepy Hollow, NY campuses
