Paragon Gene Therapy, in Baltimore & Harmans, Maryland, provides industry-leading GMP development and manufacturing services for cutting-edge biopharmaceuticals such as recombinant viral vectors, next generation vaccines & hard-to-express recombinant proteins and oncolytic viruses.
The Buffer Prep role is part of the Central Services team providing critical support to Manufacturing Operations ensuring that all buffers, media and solutions are prepared for necessary manufacturing campaigns to support client programs.
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn about biologic drug manufacturing. Career development opportunities exist by growing within the Central Services organization or as a Manufacturing Associate in our Upstream, Downstream or Fill/Finish areas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and identify atypical processing conditions and how to respond to them.
- Provide a moderate level of troubleshooting, diagnostic, and assist with repair of critical equipment. May also include simple preventive maintenance tasks.
- Train others and explain process to others.
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical equipment such as controllers, indicators, control valves, pumps, filter integrity testing etc.
- Thorough knowledge of cGMPs.
- Generates internal or external documents (SOPs/SMPs).
- Previous knowledge of clean room environment, e.g. gowning, aseptic behaviors and proper flow procedure.
- Experience and understanding of manufacturing activities and how they relate to other departments (QA, QC) to maintain internal and project schedules.
Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma OR GED required with 2 years of buffer, media, solution preparation in a lab or pharmaceutical environment
- Biotech certificate a plus
- GMP experience a plus
